Write your reflections in the book.
Where the book gives you a prompt or a reflection space, type your answer right there. The point is not to fill blanks. It is to leave the page with a sharper thought than you arrived with.
Keep your own copy of longer answers too. Save or print the page when you finish a section.Your work saves itself.

Check what stuck.
Chapters include quick reviews and true or false checks so you can test yourself as you go. Use them before the midterm, when everything from the first half is fair game. If a check surprises you, that is the page to reread.
Watch your progress.
A live progress meter fills as you answer, review, and reflect. It updates as you work and shows how far through the book you are. Aim to keep it moving every week, not all at once at the end.

How to actually succeed with it
- Do the worked example before your own. Seeing the move done makes it easier to repeat.
- Always name both sides of a trade off. If your analysis has no cost in it, you have not finished.
- Write something before class. The discussion rewards the students who arrive with a draft opinion.
- Use the reviews as a warning system. A check you get wrong today is a question you would have missed on the midterm.
- Bring examples, not slogans. Every claim in your writing needs something real behind it.
- Check your progress every week, not at the end. A small gap noticed early is easy to close.
