Work with me โFrequently asked questions
What is the difference between a career mission and a career vision?
The mission is what you do and for whom, in the present tense. The vision is where that work leads, the future state. Most LinkedIn About sections fail because they state neither, just a job history in paragraph form.
Where should I use my mission statement?
LinkedIn About section first sentence, the summary line of your resume, and your answer to tell me about yourself. One statement, three deployments. That consistency is what makes a personal brand read as intentional.
How often should I revisit it?
Whenever your target role changes, and at minimum once a year. A mission statement written for the job you no longer want will quietly steer your materials in the wrong direction.
